Former NASA rocket scientist, founder, and CEO Aisha Bowe is manifested on a future flight of New Shepard. She is the first Black woman confirmed to travel on a commercial flight to space with Blue Origin, the private spaceflight company founded by Jeff Bezos. New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system named after astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American to go to space.

The Department of Defense (DoD) announced that STEMBoard is a recipient of the fiscal year 2022 Nunn-Perry Award. The prestigious award recognizes Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) participants who have successfully expanded their footprint in the defense industrial base. STEMBoard will be recognized for its accomplishments on March 30, 2023, at the 2023 Mentor-Protégé Summit in Orlando, FL.

STEMBoard has been awarded a $4.2 million contract by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to provide support for their mission.
